How
To Control Emotions
Emotions are like a stubborn child at heart, it won’t let you do anything as long as you don’t channelize it in any positive way.
So here we are presenting some easy to do steps to control
emotions.
Take Gap:
Reacting right away can be dangerous. All
you need to do ism take a deep breathe. Deep breathing gives a pause to your
mind and it allows your mind to think for a second about the repulsive effect
of what is said or done. It gives you time to think about the importance of the
person in front of you. Deep breathing helps to stabilize the impulse, that is
uncontrollable at the moment. Take a pause from the argument, put a timer on
your phone and keep doing the exercise of deep breathing for about 5 minutes,
trust us you will avert a very negative situation, too easily.
Channelise positively:
Once you control that moment, you need a
vent to release what you are holding up. It is never good to stalk up emotions
in your mind. The first thing is, share your experience with someone
you trust, someone who understand you, but won’t be a partial judge to your
situation, It is important to get an outside opinion that makes the solution
justifiable. Second best is to write what had happened and reread it, half of
it you will find useless reactions from both sides and we bet most of the
arguments are not even important enough.
Learn the art of Forgiving:
You must learn to forgive the situation,
time or person, whichever or whoever is the trigger
for your emotions. It can be your partner, family member or a stranger for
that matter, all you need to learn is to forgive, that will be for your good.
See, when you let go the emotion against someone, you detach from the
resentment or from the fury persistent within you.
