I don’t want to be at the mercy of my emotions, I want to use them to enjoy them and dominate them.
A healthy mind makes a healthy body. Our
emotional status dictates our thoughts and vice-a-versa. Often our feelings
undergo a rhythmic pendulum motion of ultimate rage to perturbed euphoria. Every
emotion that goes out of human control and social order causes figment of
stress in various facets of life.
Regulating one’s emotions is far different from
stopping them. Here, dear readers, we are not asking to inhibit the flow of
true emotions, neither are we asking you to mask it from others. Negative
emotions such as anger, jealousy, and obsession tend to rupture relationships
and self -confidence.
Gathered from some specialists, here are 3 easy ways
to rescue yourself from stormy situations:
ü
Escapism
When in a conversation you realise that this is the
zenith of all ifs and buts, that is, you are unable to reach a sensible and
logical conclusion, then the best way is to leave that area of conversation,
just stop answering and consider it later. Usually scientists believe during
extreme emotions our mind is alerted to take some actions, the alerts are in
quick successions which confuse the senses, so the body and mind are unable to
coordinate and ends up making a blunder.
ü
Deep Breathing
If for you escapism is not a great option, then
pausing can help. Thinking for some time, taking a deep inhale and an exhale,
relaxes the nervous system, which ends up making some right comments and
remarks which are required in some conversations. Taking a stand and not to
delay a debate is sometimes an intelligent option, or sometimes the only option,
in those moments you must encourage yourself to take a deepbreathing techniques and continue by rethinking what exactly is your
point and why do you think you are correct?
ü
Learn to forgive…… even yourself
